Extension form for civil case

My husband get a lawsuit ( Civil case � Limited, collections), the court requested that he have to response in 30 days. But he is in jail for other lawsuit and will come out in 4/30/08. What he should to do? Can he request extension? If yes, which form he has to file? The court request written response must be in proper legal form.

Your husband can submit the written response from jail and should not need more time. Doing so should be no harder than submitting the extension request you were hoping he could submit instead.

It is fairly common for inmates to be involved in civil lawsuits. Your husband's situation is not unusual.
