Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

I filed a Complaint and had it served. It is in LA Superior Court limited jurisdiction. The defendant never answered. I sent in a Request for Default and prepared a Default Juddgment with declarations, etc. The clerk told me she signed the default and sent the judgment to the judge. It has been 4 months! Who do I call? How do I know which judge it went to in limited jurisdiction. What should I do to get someone to sign the judgment already? Thanks

The Los Angeles Superior Court has a website, with a function that allows you to search the registry of actions online, including an index of things filed and done in the case. You can access it here: http://www.lasuperiorcourt.org/civilcasesummarynet/ui/?CT=CI

Without more information, however, I cannot tell you whether you have taken the correct steps to process a default judgment.

Default Judgments can take a very long time for judges to process...especially in LA. There probably isn't much you can do at this point except wait.
