Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

My husband and I, had our picture taken by the chapel after our wedding. They placed our picture at a different chapel without our permission. I feel as if it is an invasion of our privacy, we asked for them to take it down and they refused. Can they do this? Thank you

It would depend on the documentation. If they are allowed to use your photo at one chapel they probably have paperwork that allows them to use the image for any promotions. If not, however, they are using it illegaly.

Legal considerations aside, they are crazy not to comply with your request. You are certainly at liberty to post truthful statements about that chapel to the Internet. In this era, it only takes one disgruntled customer to gum up the reputation of any business. If you have not done so already, please complain in writing, certified mail RRR, keep a copy, then sue them in small claims court for $7500.
