Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

Judgement against out of state Defendant

Any help with the below listed questions is appreciated:

1. I was granted a Default Judgement in a Civil B.O.C. case last week. I am assuming Court will notify Defendant...or do I mail copy?

2. As Defendant lives in Texas, do I first file an Abstract of Judgment in Ca or obtain a conformed copy of Judgement and file it in Texas as a sister-state judgment?

3. When is the correct time to begin this (i.e. 30 days?)

Thanks...

Re: Judgement against out of state Defendant

1. You serve a copy of the judgment on the defendant.

2. Conformed copy of the judgment--submit to Texas.

3. As soon as practical.
