TRO--Domestic Violence And How to Defend Against Claims

I was recently alerted that I had a TRO (Temporary Restraining Order) filed against me for reasons that are untruthful at best. What procedures/processes should I take to make my case? I realize that civil court is about a ''proponderance of evidence'' but what should I focus on? Witnesses? Documentation? Character Witnesses? Any information would be extrememly helpful. Thanks.

The purpose of getting a TRO is to have you arrested for violating it. Was the TRO issued? The answer to your question is, bring as much evidence as you have. You will need it. An attorney will be useful in cross-examining your ex or whomever. If you do it yourself you could possibly make a negative impression.
