Verbal contract

I let someone get a car under my name. They agreed to make the payment to the car. The car was repo and im getting billed for this. Can I take him to court ? My credit is ruin because of this and he did agree to make the car payments. All I want is for him to pay this debt

Sure. If it's under the $7500 limit, go to Small Claims Court. Take your proof and documents to convince the judge. If it's more than that, you have to file in Superior Court. Consider hiring an attorney. Collecting will be your problem. If he has nothing, that's what you'll get.
