Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

Hello. I arrived to USA in July, 2013 by work and travel visa (J1). In September I applied for political asylum. Now my case is pending. I did fingerprint and received my work autorisation but that's all. They didn't invite me for the interview yet. While I am waiting I married US citizen (April, 2014). So now I want to apply for a green card to USCIS through forms I-130 and I-485. Could you please tell me the order of applications' submitting (which forms I should submit first and which ones I should do later). And also I'd like to know when I should cancel my asylum case. Please help

I would advise hiring an experienced immigration attorney to assist you with this,

Assuming you are not subject to the J-1 2 year residency requirement, then you would need to withdraw your asylum application.

As for how to file for adjustment of status, please refer to www.uscis.gov or call the USCIS customer service number, if you are going to file the case without attorney assistance.
