Re: Duration for Singapore H1B1 transfer

There are two possible ways to begin your new employment position expeditiously. First, you can use "premium processing" for the new H-1B. Second, you can use AC-21 section 105 to "port" to the new employer. The premium process generally takes about 14 days from the date of filing to receive a favorable response from the CIS. If you are porting to the new employer you may start immediately upon the "proper filing" of an H-1B with the CIS. You can also combine these strategies and port and premium process the case simultaneously. While there are some definite advantages to using AC-21 section 105 portability, there are also some dangers.
