filling w9 with other company while on H1b

Hi Thiere,

I am on H1B visa. I want to start website with affiliate program like commision junction. They are asking me to fill out W9 form so they can process form 1099. Will this affect on my H1B status? Can I work from home with this kind of affiliate program?

Absolutely, you cannot work there without another H-1 by them as well as (or instead of) your current H-1. Don't provide services until such filing. If you do, you'd be in violation of status and that would haunt you years into the future in ways that would be quite unpleasant. Approval before you start working though is not necessary as long as you're currently in valid status now.
