Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

I have been married 14 years and my Japanese wife is divorcing me. She has a green card that will expire in the next two years as we have lived in the US for eight years. What affect will the divorce have on her residency? Will she have to become a citizen? Will she be deported?

If she is a "permanent resident" (as opposed to a "conditional resident"), then your divorce will have no effect on her status. She will not be deported, nor will she have to become a U.S. citizen.
