Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

My mother believes she filed for the 245i before the deadline. She also filed to be sponsored by her employer before the deadline as well (I am not sure if you can do both). I was underage during that time. She never received an answer because we moved and she did not change her address. Unsure of the outcome, she did not attempt to find the outcome. If her application was received before the deadline, can I be grandfathered under 245i or employer sponsorship? Can I be grandfathered if application was received and denied, simply by my mother just applying?

Unfortunately, she lost the paperwork as well, is it possible to contact UCIS and attempt to check the application status?

Thank you.

If your mother's petition was properly filed and approvable when filed, you might be protected under 245 (i). However, you still need basis to apply for adjustment of status. We suggest you to consult with an immigration attorney.
