subrogation time limit

Is there a time limit for a health insurance company to collect the monies they paid out for an auto accident?

Generally two years, assuming the insurer has any legal right to do so. You should consult an attorney to have that question answered, since the insurer frequently (and improperly) tries to collect regardless of whether the insured has been made whole first.
