patent

To have a patent search is prohibitively expensive.

Could I protect a idea for a patent, internationally as well, if I register it somehow as intelectual property?

Re: patent

A patent is one form of intellectual property. A

copyright is another form, as is a trademark, or

a trade secret. There is no generic means of registration

of intellectual property, as opposed to systems to

register patents, trademarks, or copyrights. So, the

short answer to your question is no. It looks like you

still need to think in terms of getting a patent.
