Legal Question in International Law in California

Account

I created an account on youtube. This account name was a well recognized name, example ''Albertsons''. Well youtube is a web site which allows videos to be broadcasted publicly. I used this account for months before I found out it was taken. I cannot log into my account name ''Albertsons''(an example account). My password was changed and my email concerning that account was switched. When I searched for my stolen account on youtube, the company ''Albertsons'' now is the new owner. My account was taken without my permission or consent. The company youtube I assume provided them the information to steal my account, for there is no other way this company can access my account. Now their videos are being broadcast through my stolen account named ''Albertsons''. I emailed youtube regarding the security breach and they blew me off Four times. My question to you is that is this legal to do? If not i wish to take legal action against these two big companies. I read their privacy statement briefly, and they stated that users information would not be given to third parties, and the violated their own rules. I created this account hoping to sell it in the future. Now it has been taken by this company without my consent. Please help me

Re: Account

Your account with Youtube is mainly governed by the terms and conditions you probably accepted when you opened that account.

The following is based mostly on assumptions.

Very probably the terms and conditions you accepted included a consent allowing Youtube to close your account or take any other appropriate measures if they deem that you have done soemthing contrary to their policy or anything they would consider inappropriate, or illegal or considered as such...at their own discretion.

Furthermore, very probably, when you accepted the terms you also consented that you will not acquire any rights by opening the account... I do not know if you had a right to sell that account in the first place...

(Note: it is not clear why this issue is classified as international law.)

Your issue is mostly governed by the terms you agreed to when opening the Youtube account, you must start there, not the privacy statement....See what rights the terms and conditions left you with and take it from there.

I hope this helps.
