Legal Question in International Law in California

email stating donation

I received an email stating that I was chosen for a donation from the Fondation De France, United Nations Organisation, The European Union, and Economic Community for West African States for the amount of $1,350,000.00 I was wondering about international scam laws and if I will have any legal recourses. They are asking that I send $420 to cover the the insurance of diplomatic documents. We have sent several corespondents back and forth and I'll be more than happy to forward them please let me know if this sounds right. Thank you

Re: email stating donation

This is in fact very much a scam and you will have very little chance of ever getting your money back, if at all. Any "google" search using the names you mention will provide you with plenty of supporting evidence that this is indeed a scam.

Good luck to you.

Re: email stating donation

You haven't been harmed by them because you recognize this as a scam;

so the best thing you can do is ignore them and not respond any more.

You can forward their entire email(s) to the FBI and/or Dept. of

Commerce and probably the Justice Dept. but they may already know

about this scam. There are currently too many to really get a handle

on them.
