Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
My landlady served me 3Days or Quit papers. She states she posted them on my door. I never saw them there and didn't realize I was served until the US Mail version of the papers arrived. By then, the landlady had filed for court date for eviction. I cleared up the situation and that's fine. She wants me to reimburse the courthouse filing fees she paid. Am I obliged to pay her for the fees ?

It's probably fair, but it is not a legal requirement. It is a good idea if you want her to reinstate your tenancy after the 3 day pay or quit has expired.
