Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

liability

I rent a condo and had water overflowing from the washing machine which resulted in damaging two units below. The washing machine worked fine until the day of accident, which later found to have a water level monitor being broken. Am I liable for the water damage and the washing machine?

Re: liability

If it your washing machine, you may be liable. If it is your landlord's washing machine, check your lease and any tenant rules. I would have to see the lease and hear a few more details.
