I have 60 days to move out of my rental house. I already paid rent for the first 30 days, i was informed about the 60 days on the 2nd of june and I paid the rent on the first. The original owner is demanding rent money for the final 30 days. what are my options?

Re: renter's rights

When you say "original owner," was the house foreclosed by a bank and the sixty day notice was from the bank? If so, this answer does not apply, and you need to repost this with more information.

If, however, you received a sixty day notice from the landlord after paying the first 30 days of the sixty, you haven't many options. I assume you were a month-to-month tenant and as such, the landlord is free to (without reason) terminate your tenancy on sixty days notice. Your options are move in the next 30 days, or pay the rent for the second 30 days on July 1 and stay through the end of July, or be evicted by the landlord. Just because the landlord gave you notice does not mean that you don't have to pay rent for the last 30 days you live there.
