Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

I have signed as a co-signer on a lease, will I be served with a notice to pay rent if in default (tenant has been given 3 day notice to vacate) and will this go on my credit report?

No. The service of the notice likely was posted on the property. The next thing that will happen -- if rent is not paid within the three days -- is that the landlord will file an unlawful detainer (eviction) lawsuit naming as defendants all the signatories of the lease. Any judgment will be reported on your credit report, along with the UD Registry, which is like an eviction credit report. That could make it more difficult for folks listed on it to find other rental housinig.
