tenant rights

can a lanlord tell a tenant that they are not allowed to have guest stay with them? not live with them, but visit on vacation. my lanlord told my guest that they needed to leave by friday. i live in a seperate unit and my guest have not disturbed any one. please help

The landlord can't if only for a few days if not agreed to. Perhaps if the utility costs are pooled with the landlord's, you can offer to pay an increased percentage because of the guest to resolve the issue. Also, check your rental agreement and see if there's anything regarding guests.
