Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

Wrongful Eviction Law Suit

My apt filed a wrong ''unlawful disclaimer'' against me and told me their lawyer cancelled the suit. I went to the court and court clerk could not find stop records, so I filed an answer to the suit. Later, my apt told me again that they have stopped the case. However, I still do not have a written dismissal letter from the lawyer even I have asked. When I checked the CA super court website, can not find the case. Did that mean the case was really cancelled? How can I make sure the case was really stopped?

thanks!

Re: Wrongful Eviction Law Suit

Under the law, UD lawsuits do not appear on the website for 60 days (I believe) after they're filed. Check directly with the court clerk!
