Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

I was tricked into not filing a response and landlord was able to obtain a default judgment?. And he also got a writ of execution. Landlord received rent after 3 day notice for rent. What should I do next? file motion to extend time to file a motion to strike?

Thanks for your help.

You must immediately file a motion for relief from default judgment under California Code of Civil Procedure 473. You should also be prepared to get a stay of execution of the writ of possession. You have better move fast or you will be out in the street.

Good luck and hope this helps
