Legal Question in Legal Ethics in California

Admitting to Murder!

Several months ago,I took a CPR class.Sitting close to me I stuck up a conversation with a young girl, who later confessed to having her boyfriend murdered.I was utterly shocked when she told me.I simply found it hard to believe it.She gave me some of the facts of the murder, not all.I dismissed everything she told me,as I really felt she had to be making it all up.

Then later I decided to check the date she had him murdered which had been about eight months, prior to meeting her.I checked the murder on the internet, and it did happen.Whether the real truth, was coming from her,I will never know.

I did contact a neighbor of mine who is a Police -Officer.I told him what she told me.His reply was,''Anybody can make up a story like that, there is no way we can prove ,otherwise.''. Is this so?,I would have thought he would have at least done some investigation on the matter.Evidently,I was wrong to assume he would!

Re: Admitting to Murder!

Have you ever watched "Cold Case" on TV? There are actual cold case units in various police departments. Obviously, it's on your mind. You might contact the detectives in the police department that investigated the murder and tell them what was said. The CPR course provider might still have records of people who attended.
