Fight with co-worker on the weekend

Go into a fight with a co-worker on the weekend at a non company gathering he was drunk I was not. Returned to work on Monday and had been asked to return home until further notice. Manager stated that he had to protact other employees. Can I be fired for something that happened on the weekend? What do you think may happen?

Yes, you can be fired for something that did not occur on company time.

I have no idea what will happen.

You probably need to retain a lawyer who specializes in employment law.
