Legal Question in Legal Ethics in California

I'm told that you can sign someone else's name on forms if that person allows it. Other people tell me that it's dishonest and/or illegal. So is it ok to sign my husband's name on various types of forms when he can't and wants me to?

It's probably not a good idea, unless he gives you a specific power of attorney. He may acknowledge that he let you sign now, but later on become incapacitated, or dispute his consent to you signing his name.
