Unfairly slandered by power seller on eBay

I am falsely accused of feedback extortion. eBay & Square Trade will do nothing about it. As soon as I sought help of a mediator on Square Trade to remove the FB, seller left another reply to my already damaged FB score. This time he wrote in all caps, ''On file for feedback extortion.'' I have not left this seller any FB. It has been over 90 days since the auction (6 mo.) yet seller has found a loophole. I have written eBay and Square Trade several times. They feel bad for me but will not remove the FB or sanction the seller. Seller has history of leaving retaliatory FB but remains in good standing with Square Trade. I had a perfect FB score prior to dealing with seller.

eBay advised me to rant on their discussion boards. The boards are full of angry eBay members because of the new FB rules. By posting in there, members can look at my ratings by clicking on the star next to my name. I may as well be wearing a ''Shoot me'' sign. My future ability to buy or sell on eBay has been crippled. The only hope I have to get the remark removed is to hope that the wording indicates that there is an investigation of some sort according to this: ''The feedback makes reference to an eBay, PayPal or law enforcement ...''

What can I do?

There is little to do, but retain an attorney for a slander action against the seller.

You could have eBay added as a defendant, but the likelihood is strong that you have no case vs. eBay.

You have had no satisfaction on your own, so turn it over to an attorney.

Good luck!
