Legal Question in Legal Malpractice in California

Legal Malpractice-Public Defender
Four years ago, with a public defender representing me, I pleaded ''no contest'' to an inaccurate charge. I questioned this at the time, but the P.Def. allowed it to go on the record as ''drugs,'' when in fact the ''drug'' was professional grade tooth whitener ordered from a website for dentists, not from a pharmacy and not defined as a ''drug.'' As a result, my background record will always show ''drugs,'' blacklisting me from obtaining employment in the healthcare field, where I am trained.
