Re: Malpractice against a Navel Hospital

A naval hospital is a government entity, and there are laws that require claims be made within a certain timeframe. That being said, if there was medical malpractice (which I assume is what you're claiming), theoretically a lawsuit could be filed. Of course, whether a lawyer will take the case will depend upon all of the facts and perhaps a review by an independent medical reviewer.

If you are contemplating a Naval hospital as a possible defendant in a lawsuit, don't contemplate your Navel because the.Federal Tort Claims Act applies and its deadlines are short. Get an attorney who has specific experience with FTCA case.

With the proper facts, with an opinion from other doctors that there was negligence, following the proper proceedures, and in the right time limits, yes. Feel free to contact me if you think you have what will be needed.
