Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

I had an accident at work and injury was large company that was at fault. After I have a qme panel and am rated for percentage of disability, will company settle with me. I was told not to sue because company is so large. In addition I hold in memory many pieces of information that would be damaging to large company if they became public knowledge as some could be considered illegal. What should I do.

You need to consult with a workers compensation attorney. You cannot sue you own employer for a work injury. You have a workers compensation claim against your employer's insurance company that is handled at the Workers Compensation Appeals Board. In case of a violation of safety laws and other specific situations you can file special claim against your employer in your workers compensation case within one year of the injury. Workers compensation attorneys' fees are very low and the system extremely technical so if you like frustration and risk to save, maybe, a few bucks on attorneys fees then this is the perfect case for you to represent yourself. Be careful about what you disclose about your employer since you could be sued if the information is not related to your claim and it damages the company. Although your claim is against your employer technically, the claim is really against the insurance company.
