Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

Auto Accident: No Insurance information exchanged

Auto Accident happened and only names and phone numbers were exchanged. Contact was made once with initial parties six weeks after accident. Damaged car was to provide three estimates, four months have gone by since initial accident and Damaged car has not contacted second party nor provided any type of estimates. A police report was not filed and insurance companies not notified. Is there a time limit on a minor (less than $100-$200) fender bender?

Re: Auto Accident: No Insurance

The time limit to file a lawsuit is 3 years but unless you report it promptly to your insurance company you could be denied coverage.
