Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

Confidentiality of Medical Information

An administrator at my daughter's parochial school has, without my permission, reavealed very private medical information about my family to the principal of the school. The principal has, in turn, shared this information with others in the school administration. What is the law regarding confidentiality of our medical information?

Re: Confidentiality of Medical Information

Who was the administrator who revealed the information, and how did he/she get it? If it was a school physician or someone else who had authority to view confidential medical records, your case will be stronger than if it was someone in whom you or your daughter voluntarily confided this sensitive information. Even if this was the situation, you might have a pretty goodf case against them; I would need to know more details to give you a more concrete evaluation.
