Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

I have a civil personal injury case against a Public Transportation Entity and I have not received the occurance report and the video from the incident. At a C.M.C. hearing, the judge told me to file a Motion to Compel for Production of Documents. I did and it was denied -Off Cal; Moving Papers not fld. What does this mean and what do I need to do now ASAP? I wish I had a lawyer.

It means that you did not file actual proper papers to make a motion to compel. So the court cancelled the hearing. Why don't you have a lawyer?

I wish that more people could see this post, to help them understand how important it is to have a lawyer help you with your personal injury case. I don't know what your situation is, but I've seen too many "do-it-yourself" types getting into trouble once the case starts getting difficult. The thing to realize is that the other side will always take advantage of an unrepresented party. Your case is a good example: they are not cooperating with discovery, because they don't think you will know how to hold their feet to the fire--and they're correct!

Don't let them get away with it. There's nothing easier than getting a personal injury attorney. All you have to do is pick up the phone. The consultation is free, with no obligations, and you never have to pay out-of-pocket for anything. Don't let any more time go by, call right now: (877) LION-FOR-LAW (546-6367)
