Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

employment/ personal injury

I resigned from a job, so I wouldn't be fired. My head supervisor gave me his word this incident would not follow me into new employment if I resigned. However, they have given out info. to subordinates about me, and why I left. Now, the new job is in constant jepordy. I know I have a privacy issue, and a defamation issue, but what is it called when they wrecked any opprotunity to continue on in the only career I've had the last 16years of my life? Do I have a good chance to sue?

Re: employment/ personal injury

Career damage is a function of the defamation, and may be an aspect of a constructive wrongful termination claim. You need to survey the specifics with an attorney, in a face to face meeting.
