Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

Who's fault

I was involved in a car accident, after the accident I pass out and remain in the car on the freeway, then a vehicle hit my car again at the rear, she ejected from the vehicle and suffer a broken bones and injury. Am I still liable for her injury?

Re: Who's fault

Immediately call your insurance company. You will certainly be sued by someone involved. If you have no insurance, you face huge risks, attorney fees and costs. Contact me if you need private counsel on this, which I suggest you get asap.

Re: Who's fault

You could be at fault. It is impossible to know with so little facts. Who caused the first accident? Why did you pass out? Do you have a known medical condition that made you pass out? Did you pass out as a result of the injuries from the prior accident? Were your lights on? Why didn't the second car see you?

You should report this to your insurance company and let them try to sort it out for you. If you want to learn how they make decisions about fault, you can read my blog at www.calpiblog.com
