Illegal detainment by Police.
What legal redress is a person entitled to when they are illegally detained by security guards and handcuffed by police, while they are innocently shopping at a store.
No one ever approached me, I was never cited for any violations, I was never told what the problem was.
They also absconded with my personal belongings totalling $250.00.

You possibly could have claims for false arrest, false imprisonment and assault/battery. Contact a PI atty in the city/county where the store is located to go over your case in more detail.

If your innocence can be proven, then you may have a good lawsuit for false imprisonment and other claims.
