Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

How do I go about getting a minor's blocked bank account released?

My daughter was biten by a dog while on treatment for leukemia and the money won from her case was placed in a blocked bank account. Due to my husband's death 4 monthes after having to cancel his life insurance policy(due to the 30% of 2.4 million we owe for her medical treatment) I am unable to keep a roof over her and my 3 other kids heads.. I need to know what forms I need to fill out to release the block. I also would like to know the procedure I would take to unblock the release. Thanks in advance!

Go back to your attorney who handled the case. The forms, which can be found at, www.courtinfo.ca.gov/forms, are a bit complicated and the evidence needed to get a judge to approve it may require an expert.

This is not your #1 problem. Your #1 problem is having an attorney carefully review your life insurance policy, statements, evidence of payments to see if there is anything that can be done with regard to rescinding the cancellation. Maybe it wasn't cancelled properly. Maybe the life insurance company will settle with you (your attorney). Do not contact the life insurance company yourself.
