Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

tips on getting an attorney to take my case

I have an excellent case against a public school because of an on campus injury that my disabled daughter suffered. The situation is both complicated and straightforeword- its hard to explain. The case involves MANY issues that led up to the situation that the District created which enabled this injury to occur. It involves discrimination, retaliation, records fraud and forgery, and breech of administrative hearing settlement terms. I can not afford an attorney and so the case must be taken on a contingency basis. I get stuck when I am talking to an attorney- how can I present the information about my claim in a way that is more attractive to attorneys? I have already prevailed upon the district in administrative hearings, internal complaints and department of ed complaints- all claims are substanciated- I have already filed the required tort claim and I need to file ASAP. If I had Esq. after my name the District would have already settled. ANY ADVICE IS APPRECIATED!!!!!

Go to the Lawyers Reference Service of the State Bar.

You can usually find it listed under state government listings in the front of your white pages.

You will be given a low cost interview with an attorney familiar with these type of situations.

Good luck!

An attorney has to do what is called due diligence and can only take a case that he or she feels is bonafide and valid. I don't knowwhat the injury is from your post, so I don't know if its worth the time for an attorney to do due diligence on your case.
