Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Name change on deed of trust

When I purchased my home with my husband, I was still using my maiden name. I have since changed it to my married name. Do I have to change the deed of trust? If so, how do I do this?

Re: Name change on deed of trust

No, you do not have to change your name on the deed of trust,,,only when you sell it,, escrow or title company will want to know who this is,,and you can demonstrate the change due to marriage,, you can change the name on your title through a form provided by the county recorder's office,,,not a big deal, either way,,,good luck pdm
