I have a roof leak which caused minor damage inside my unit. Can I get the HOA to pay for the new drywall I need?

Probably, if you are in a condominium. You don't mention, however, if you are in a condo, townhouse, or planned unit development, or. . . . Without that information even a preliminary answer is an educated guess. Without reviewing the title documents and HOA documents it is not possible to be 100% sure.
