Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

I've been separated with my husband for 3 months, I live in L.A. C.A.. I found out that the property we have in Miami Beach is under his name now. The property is worth $1000000.00. I think I signed it to his name thinking that I'm signing other papers. He has all the money and left me with nothing. What do I do?

Hire a lawyer. No other alternative. On-line advice is going to get you nowhere.

I agree. You need help from a family law attorney. Was your residence in California when you separated? Was it in Florida? That may impact where you need to go for counsel.

I also agree. The only question would be whether you need a California lawyer or a Florida lawyer. The range of possibilities regarding what you signed runs from outright fraud to a mere acknowledgment that the Miami Beach property is, and always was, his.........and plenty of in-between possibilities. An early step might be to see what the office of the (Dade County??)Recorder of Deeds file on the property would show as to prior and current ownership, outstanding liens, etc.

The problem here is that there are a lot of facts needed. For example, it is not clear whether you were domiciled here during the marriage, which could trigger California's community property laws, or whether you were domiciled in Florida and just came here as a result of the separation.
