Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Water intrusion in new construction home

The certificate of occupancy to this property was issued in 2007. After purchase of the house black mold began forming in the closet, bathroom and masterbedroom. I have called the builder but he says I've altered the construction of the house. I have not.

Your options appear to be to do nothing and live with it, do repair and remediation, and bring legal action for construction defect. To win in litigation, you'll have to have 'expert' testimony that there is a defect. If serious about taking action, feel free to contact me to discuss the facts.
