Legal Question in Social Security Law in California

My father died years ago and I was under 18 and still enrolled in school. Am I entitled to money now?

If you were acknowledged as your late father's child, you should be eligible for SSD dependents' benefits. However in order to qualify for these benefits, your father needed to have paid into the Social Security retirement system. You need to contact your local SSA District Office about this issue.
