Legal Question in Traffic Law in California

Possible license suspension

I received a notice from the California DMV stating that if I received another point on my record within 4 months my license would be suspended. I was given a speeding ticket a month later. All of the tickets were simple violations: three speeding violations just a few miles per hour over the limit, and one photo red light violation. Does this really justify a suspension? What are my options here? How can I fight this?
