Legal Question in Traffic Law in California

Are traffic infractions still considered convictions in California if you attend traffic school? I did this once in Nov 2005 and once this year. I'm asking for a job application for a police-related job.

If you completed traffic school and turned in proof of completion, it should have resulted in a dismissal of the case without a conviction. Because of where you're applying, you may still be required to (or choose to) disclose them with the explanation that you went to traffic school (and provide documentation of that - either from your records or from the court).
