Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

I was name as a beneficiary in a trust along with several other individuals. I received notification via mail from an attorney (not the one that drew up the Trust) stating that the specified amount would be sent out immediately. If I requested an accounting, it would hold up the distribution up to 180 days. I did not request an accounting of the Executor and have not received the distribution. We are now approaching 180+ days.

When should I expect the distribution? The Executor just says that "no distribution has been made." What might the hold up be?

It should not normally take that long.
