Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Estate problems

My questions regards probate and wills My mom died 2 years ago. She spent that last 30 years of her life slaving away for my sisters businesses). In the end my sister paid off the mortgages on about 4 houses from this business and I assumed she would then settle up with my mom. She also pretty much stole my moms home and never paid her for it. My mom was promised a home in return (I have witnesses to this) My sister never let my mom retire (one tragedy after another, long story).

Near the end of my moms life my sister up and married some guy from New Hampshire and moved away. My other sister swindle my mom out of a 40k settlement that she got from Rite Aid about 6 months before she died (it was a slip and fall). There was no will my oldest sister handle everything. I have any recourse against them for my fair share, 25% of my moms estate

Do I have any recourse

Re: Estate problems

We are very sorry to hear the unfortunate and tragic circumstances surrounding your mom and her estate at this time. If you mom passed without a will, then the rules of intestate succession would be in place, and you would be entitled to a portion of your mom's estate as a lineal blood heir. You should retain legal representation here immediately to right certain wrongs you have been put through to date, before it ultimately becomes too late to remedy things.
