Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

My great grandfather passed away the night before he was going to change around his will to switch all of his property into my parents name. As a result my grandfather received everything. He will not show us the will or tell us what it includes, and we are almost certain that there was at least a small something in the will that was left to my parents. Is there any way that we can get a copy of the will to see what it had included? Or is it up to the will holder to decide that?

A will is normally filed with the court to commence probate. When it is filed with the court, you would be able to view it and make a copy.

Your parents are entitled to demand a copy of the will.
