Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

House inheritance

My cousin is the sole inheritor of a home I just found out. My grandmother and grandfather raised me as their own.My mother abonded me. My cousin was raised in the same house but his mother stayed in the house to this day and made sure he was the favored child. In a nutshell my grandfather who was very old could have been manipulated by my cousin into signing house over to him. Do I have any recourse. My cousin put a corral around my granfather/guardian so i never knew legally what was going on with house. I am devestated again years later,

Re: House inheritance

You can always attempt to claim undue influence or elder abuse. This is not an uncommon case of this type of situation.

How was the house "signed over to your cousin"? Quit-claim? Warranty Deed? Grant Deed?

I would need some more information to really be able to assess the situation. If you would like email me directly at the email provided by lawguru or through our firms's site at PasadenaEstatePlanning.com.
