Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

if one of the parent dies a year after the other one, and the one that dies first is your stepfather and the other is your natural mom can i get prossesion over their land and house with is in puerto rico.

But i live here in california

It all depends upon whether wills were written. If not, then the laws of Puerto Rico would apply.
