Trust

My father passed away 14 years ago and my daughter 1 week after him. My father left me as the executor of his living trust which included two house. One of the houses was to go to me with all the property inside and the other to my brother. During those trying times I was not completely aware of all that was going on. My father was a famous artist my brother removed art and property from my house without my permission and for 8 years kept it quiet and is now selling this art which I would not sell and wish to have returned to me. Where do I stand based on what I have told you

You definitely have an uphill battle.

Unfortunately, paintings are difficult to establish ownership of. Do you have any supporting documentation? For instance, family photographs might show that the paintings had been removed from the house.
